5% Credit Card Cashback Rotating Categories: October - December 2017

Many credit cards offer you cashback on your purchases.  Almost all cashback cards now offer you at least 1% cashback on all your purchases, only a few offers as much as 5%.  The catch is that the categories rotate every quarter and you have to opt in online.  Below are the 5% rotating categories from October to December of 2017.  And many are in time for your holiday shopping.  Make sure to sign up!

Earn 5% cash back on up to $1,500 in combined purchases from October 1 - December 31, 2017 at Walmart and Department Stores  - see merchant list HERE.  Activate by December 14, 2017.  For more information, see Chase Freedom Frequently Asked Questions. You always earn unlimited 1% cashback on all your other purchases.

Earn 5% cashback on eligible purchases at Best Buy and Department Stores from October 1 - December 31, 2017.  The offer becomes active within 2 business days of when you enroll in this offer, or October 1, 2017, whichever is later.  Note that there is no quarterly cashback limit but your cashback is limited to $300 per year.  See this link for details.  Like the Chase Freedom card, you also earn 1% cashback on all other purchases.

Earn 5% Cashback Bonus on up to $1,500 in purchases at Amazon and Target from from October 1 - December 31, 2017.  The offer becomes active on October 1, 2017 or the date on which you sign up, whichever is later.  Purchases made using tap-and-pay, mobile or wireless card readers, virtual wallets or similar technology may not be eligible.  See Terms and Conditions for more information.

As part of a physician family, Ryan knows the pains, struggles and joys that come from a career in medicine. When his wife was in residency, he witnessed how vulnerable she was to poor financial advice that wasn’t in her best interest. Because of this, he shifted his practice to work exclusively with young physicians who could truly benefit from unbiased, quality financial advice.
